Security Startup SOC Prime Raises $11 Million to Simplify Threat Detection

SOC Prime, a continuous security intelligence provider, has raised $11 million in a Series A funding round. The startup's overall business valuation was not disclosed.

SOC Prime develops a Threat Detection Marketplace to help security practitioners and organizations get the most value out of their security information and event management (SIEM) and extended detection and response (XDR) investments, the company asserted. The marketplace contains more than 130,000 detections aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

In addition, SOC Prime curates Sigma-based threat detection content from over 300 researchers, the company indicated. It offers a detection as code platform for cyber defense, threat hunting and discovery that leverages more than 20 SIEM and XDR platforms.

SOC Prime also provides a partner program that allows MSSPs to leverage its platform and access continuous cybersecurity research, the company said.

Cyderes, SOC Prime Announce Partnership

SOC Prime's Series A funding comes after the company partnered with Cyderes, the security-as-a-service (SECaaS) division of Fishtech Group and a Top 250 MSSP, in January 2021.

With the partnership, SOC Prime provides Cyderes customers with access to its threat detection content, the company indicated. SOC Prime also allows these customers to use its Threat Detection Marketplace to generate custom content based on their threat profiles.
