Telecom Provider Babble Buys Cybersecurity Specialist Activereach

Babble, a telephony, internet, cloud and security company, has purchased cybersecurity specialist and technology integrator Activereach for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 919 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Babble, founded in 2001, is based in London, England. The company has 224 employees listed on LinkedIn. Babble's areas of expertise include systems integration, digital transformation and unified communications.

Activereach, founded in 2008, is based in High Wycombe, England. The company has 14 employees listed on LinkedIn. Activereach's areas of expertise include cloud security, email security and penetration testing.

Babble Strengthens Its Cybersecurity Services

Activereach will provide cybersecurity expertise to more than 16,000 Babble customers, the companies said. It enhances Babble's cybersecurity offerings for its enterprise and mid-market customers.

In addition, cybersecurity remains a "top priority in the UK market," Babble asserted. Activereach helps Babble extend its UK cybersecurity market reach and ensure that UK organizations can use its solutions to guard against current and emerging cyber threats.

Babble Eyes Acquisitions

Along with Activereach, Babble has made several acquisitions in 2022, including:

Babble has completed seven acquisitions to date in 2022 and 22 since 2019, according to the company. It looks poised to continue to explore acquisition opportunities.

Meanwhile, Babble offers cybersecurity services and solutions to help organizations secure their physical and cloud environments, the company noted. Babble does not currently provide a channel partner program for MSSPs and MSPs but may look to offer one in the future.
