UNS Acquires MSSP CyberPeak Solutions, Expands Cloud-Based Security Services -

UNS Inc., an information technology consulting services provider, has purchased CyberPeak Solutions -- a managed security services provider (MSSP) for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 475 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

CyberPeak extends UNS's cloud-based support and MSSP opportunities, the companies said. It also has team members in Europe and India and expands UNS's global presence.

CyberPeak helps organizations identify security gaps and determine which solutions can be used to address them, the company indicated. It offers the following managed security services:

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO): Lets organizations use the McAfee ePO web-based management console to maintain and verify compliance with security requirements.
Managed Endpoint: Protects organizations' endpoints and ensures authorized end-users can access business applications and corporate data.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Helps organizations guard against cyberattacks and comply with security requirements.

In addition, CyberPeak provides a free risk assessment that allows organizations to analyze their risk level and how to protect against cyberattacks. It also offers professional services that leverage Fortinet, McAfee and RSA technologies.

What Does the CyberPeak Acquisition Mean for UNS?

CyberPeak enhances UNS's managed security services offerings. In doing so, CyberPeak helps UNS address organizations' evolving cybersecurity needs and grow its market share, UNS founder Matt Haney said.

UNS provides managed security services backed by analysts who use threat intelligence to monitor networks, the company noted. It tracks network traffic and log activities and responds to cyberattacks in real time.

Along with its managed security services, UNS offers risk and compliance assessments and professional services. UNS does not currently provide a channel partner program but may look to launch one in the future.
