Vectra AI has acquired Siriux Security Technologies, an identity and SaaS threat management provider. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 113 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

This appears to be a small tuck-in deal. The anecdotal evidence: Siriux had 11 employees listed on LinkIn.

Siriux will operate under the Vectra brand and leadership, the companies said. In addition, Vectra will use Siriux's technologies to help its customers configure and detect threats in cloud identity and SaaS applications.

A Closer Look at Siriux

Siriux provides SaaS Vulnerability Assessment, a tool that lets organizations customize Microsoft 365 security assessments and run them at any frequency.

SaaS Vulnerability Assessment uses PowerShell to collect configuration settings and make Microsoft Graph API calls, Siriux noted. It then highlights an organization's Microsoft 365 security posture.

Furthermore, SaaS Vulnerability Assessment provides threat remediation recommendations, Siriux stated. An organization also can port SaaS Vulnerability Assessment scan results to a security information and event management (SIEM) tool to automate remediation management.

Vectra Extends

The Siriux acquisition comes after Vectra made several moves in 2021 to expand its Microsoft offerings, including:

  • Adding the Vectra Detect threat identification and response solution to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
  • Joining the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) and integrating custom workbooks in Azure Sentinel.
  • Partnering with Microsoft to deliver zero trust security capabilities to Microsoft 365 users.

Vectra provides the Cognito network detection and response (NDR) platform for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Organizations can use Cognito to address threats in cloud, data center, Internet of Things (IoT) and enterprise networks, the company said.

Also, Vectra provides a partner program for MSPs.
