7AI launches federated SIEM and tools for building agentic security services

7AI has expanded its security operations platform with a federated SIEM and a set of tools for building custom agentic security services. The company introduced 7AI Federated SIEM and 7AI Build ahead of Black Hat USA 2026. Federated SIEM allows 7AI’s agents to search and act on security data across existing SIEMs, cloud platforms, and data lakes. 7AI Build lets customers and partners create their own workflows, skills, and services on top of the platform.

The two products address a growing problem for security teams. Security data is often spread across multiple systems, while moving everything into one SIEM can drive up cost and complexity. AI tools also need more than raw alerts. They need context about users, assets, policies, past investigations, and internal processes.

Federated SIEM leaves data where it is

7AI Federated SIEM separates detection and investigation from storage, allowing agents to work with data where it already resides. Customers can keep their current SIEM, reduce data ingestion, or move workloads over time without first copying everything into another repository. That could lower storage and retention costs while giving security teams a way to adopt agentic investigation without a full SIEM replacement.

The federated model also creates operational challenges. Data sources may use different formats, permissions, and query methods, and response times can vary. Security teams will need a clear record of what information an agent used, how it reached a conclusion, and what action it took, especially as agents move into detection changes, response and threat hunting.

7AI Build gives partners a foundation for services

7AI Build allows security teams and partners to create agentic workflows and custom skills based on their own investigation methods and operating procedures. An organization could use the tools to add its asset classifications, escalation rules, response processes and internal knowledge to the platform. MSSPs and systems integrators could package their own procedures and expertise into managed services.

Zachary Kilpatrick, senior vice president of global alliances at 7AI, told MSSP Alert, “The way we think about it is pretty simple. 7AI gives Service Providers (MSSP, MDR) and Systems Integrators a foundation to build on, and each partner then shapes the service around its own operating model. Some partners will use 7AI as the platform underneath a managed service. Others will use it to extend an existing offering.

The commercial focus is straight: 7AI supplies the underlying technology, while the partner builds the service around it.

“In either case, the division of value is clear. 7AI provides the agentic platform, the context graph, the investigation engine, and the operating foundation, while the partner brings its own expertise, workflows, and service motion to the table. Through 7AI Build, the partner can encode its own procedures, methods, and service logic on top of the platform. That lets partners package a differentiated service without starting from scratch, retiring the manual triage and tool sprawl weighing down their SOC economics, and delivering faster, deeper investigations at a cost structure legacy stacks can't match,” Kilpatrick said.

For MSSPs, ownership is a central part of that model. Providers will want to retain their customer relationships and the methods that distinguish their services. Customers will also expect control over their security data and operating context.

“On ownership, the core platform stays with 7AI. The partner owns the service relationship it delivers, and the customer retains control of its own environment and data. The context that matters to the customer lives with the customer, which gives the customer a service grounded in its own security environment and operating requirements,” Kilpatrick said.

Context improves with each investigation

7AI says its Context Graph gives agents a continuing view of each customer’s environment. It includes information about assets, identities, policies, behavior, and previous investigation decisions.

“What we can show is a living Context Graph that becomes part of the operating layer for security. That graph captures the environment’s normal versus abnormal state for its assets, identities, policies, behaviors, prior verdicts, and the tribal knowledge that experienced analysts usually keep in their heads. It is shared across the platform, is used across investigation, detection, response, and hunting, and gets sharper every time the system runs an investigation. That is the difference we think matters,” Kilpatrick said.

7AI says it evaluates that context by looking at investigation results rather than the amount of information stored in the graph.

“We measure it in production outcomes. We look at whether the same signal is resolved correctly across different environments, where the context differs. We look at whether false positives decrease, whether investigations reach the right conclusion faster, whether analysts agree with the reasoning, whether the system shows its work clearly, and whether the context improves downstream work such as detection optimization, response, and hunting. A real Context Graph improves the overall operation over time. If the context is helping, the evidence shows up in cleaner investigations, better decisions, and a stronger operating posture across the SOC,” Kilpatrick said.

Core partner strategy

7AI is also formalizing its partner strategy through the new 7AI Alliance Partner Program, which brings solution providers, systems integrators, service providers, technology partners, and cloud providers into one global model.

Partners now generate nearly 45% of the company’s pipeline. Kilpatrick said those deals tend to convert at higher rates because partners already have established customer relationships.

“As expected, the close rate for a partner-generated deal is exponentially higher than other opportunities due to their trusted adviser relationship,” Kilpatrick said. “We see the strongest results from solution providers selling SOC modernization and service providers selling 7AI-powered MDR services fully integrated with their stack.”

He pointed to DXC Technology, which uses 7AI in its own security operations center and to deliver customer services. Kilpatrick also said the company’s AWS co-sell motion is producing faster close rates and larger deal sizes while helping customers use existing cloud spending commitments.

The program gives different partners room to serve the same customer in different ways. Solution providers can manage the commercial relationship, service providers can build managed offerings, systems integrators can lead SOC modernization projects, and cloud providers can support co-selling and marketplace transactions.

“Each partner owns their own value and relationship with the customer,” Kilpatrick said. “Our job is to make sure every partner is enabled to provide their distinct value and monetize the value they deliver.”

For MSSPs, 7AI is pitching branded MDR services rather than simple resale. Providers can combine their own service-level agreements, investigation methods and customer relationships with 7AI’s autonomous investigation engine.

“Most agentic SOC platforms are commodity investigations or copilots,” Kilpatrick said. “They make analysts faster, but cost still scales with headcount. 7AI agents autonomously resolve investigations end to end, so an MSSP’s margin expands with volume instead of eroding.”

Kilpatrick said MSSPs can generate margin through program discounts, the services they build around the platform and lower labor requirements. “Every investigation an agent closes is an analyst-hour they don’t staff,” he said.
