Cato Networks and CrowdStrike partner to simplify cybersecurity

Cato Networks and CrowdStrike have expanded their partnership, integrating their cybersecurity platforms to offer customers enhanced security and reduced complexity. According to CRN, this collaboration aims to bring together Cato's network security capabilities with CrowdStrike's endpoint security and security operations expertise.

The expanded partnership, announced in July, features three key integrations. One connects Cato XOps with CrowdStrike Falcon Discover to correlate network telemetry with endpoint detections, providing enhanced context for faster security investigations. A second integration combines Cato Asset Security with Falcon Discover to improve device intelligence and visibility across managed assets.

The third integration allows customers to stream network telemetry from Cato's SASE platform into CrowdStrike's Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform, expanding data availability for threat hunting and investigations. Ben Ferguson, CTO at Defensive Networks, highlighted the "massive architectural simplification" and acceleration of security teams' work. He noted that the integration is particularly beneficial for hybrid architectures, combining on-premises data centers and offices with cloud, SaaS, and AI adoption.

The partnership also aims to remove silos in security operations, addressing challenges like technology debt and resource limitations. Karl Soderlund, Cato Global Channel Chief, emphasized the unified network and endpoint visibility and the ability to stream Cato network data into CrowdStrike's SIEM via a single API, significantly reducing deployment time compared to traditional methods.
