Arctic Wolf Partners with NFL’s Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have named Arctic Wolf, a Top 40 managed detection and response (MDR) security company, as its Trusted Security Operations Partner.

By partnering with Arctic Wolf, the Minnesota Vikings can detect and respond to threats and protect the data of their fans, players and personnel, said Cheryl Nygaard, the team's vice president of information technology.

In addition, the Minnesota Vikings partnership solidifies Arctic Wolf's position "as the go-to provider of cybersecurity solutions for leading professional sports organizations," Arctic Wolf Chief Sales Officer Steve Craig stated. It also demonstrates how the Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud helps front offices tackle emerging cyber threats.

Arctic Wolf Supports More Than 50 Professional Sports Teams

Dating back to October 2021, the Minnesota Vikings have leveraged the Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud to unify data from their endpoint, network, identity and cloud security sources, the team said. Security Operations Cloud helps the team mitigate cyber risks, protect its assets and manage its operations in the midst of an evolving threat landscape.

Along with the Minnesota Vikings, Arctic Wolf offers security products and solutions to the Wolverhampton Wanderers, an English Premier League football club. It also provides these products and solutions to sports and entertainment organizations in the NBA, NHL, MLS, Formula 1 and INDY Car.

Arctic Wolf Adds to Its Security Portfolio

The Minnesota Vikings partnership announcement comes after Arctic Wolf in October 2023 reached an agreement to purchase Revelstoke, a security automation company.

Arctic Wolf will integrate Revelstoke's security automation technology into its offerings, the company said. It also will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning models with Revelstoke's integrations of AI technologies and large language models (LLMs) to deliver next-generation security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) capabilities.

Organizations can use Arctic Wolf's security products and solutions to automatically detect, respond to and remediate threats, the company noted. These products and solutions are used by over 4,600 organizations.
