Blackpoint Cyber and CyberFOX Partner to Offer Unified Identity and Threat Protection for MSPs, MSSPs

Blackpoint Cyber and CyberFOX have announced a strategic partnership to bring managed detection and response (MDR) and privileged access management (PAM) together under one roof. The bundled solution, available directly through CyberFOX, aims to give MSPs better control over credential misuse, lateral movement, and privilege escalation - while aligning with compliance mandates like HIPAA and GDPR.

At a time when identity is often the first target in modern attacks, this isn’t just a tactical bundling. “This isn't necessarily a consolidation of tools but rather the industry working with MSPs to adapt to the changing security landscape where identity has emerged as the new favored attack vector by bad actors,” said Nate Koterba, VP of Technical Alliances at Blackpoint Cyber. “This joining of forces helps those customers stay ahead of the bad guys, solves compliance requirements across many control groups, and does so without the sacrifice of an MSP's need to manage many customers efficiently at scale.”

The partnership helps MSPs shift from a reactive posture to a more integrated, layered defense. Blackpoint’s real-time threat detection works in lockstep with CyberFOX’s identity controls, providing defense at both the perimeter and the core. The result is a clearer security story for MSPs to tell, and a cleaner operational workflow for them to manage.

Integrated Workflows, Focused Support

The two companies are also exploring deeper integrations across their platforms. “By combining CyberFOX PAM and Blackpoint's identity detection and response, joint partners are getting proactive and reactive capabilities that ensure identities remain fully protected,” said Koterba. “Reactive security events from Blackpoint help inform proactive account management with CyberFOX. Both companies are also exploring tighter product integrations to streamline identity protection.”

And while the solution is bundled, the support structure remains distinct and purpose-built. CyberFOX and Blackpoint will each continue handling onboarding and technical support within their respective domains - but with pricing and platform access streamlined through a single channel.

“Security is a journey, and Blackpoint and CyberFOX are working side by side to help partners along in that journey, meet them where they are, and where their most urgent needs lie,” Koterba said. “Partners will receive pricing consolidation, while support and onboarding are still managed by the respective organizations to ensure partners continue to receive the best in breed experience they have come to expect from each vendor.”

This model lets MSPs reduce vendor overhead without losing access to specialist support or sacrificing visibility across the stack. It’s a pragmatic path forward - one that acknowledges the complexity of today’s threat landscape while giving partners a more coherent way to address it.
