The big twist: While many MDR providers are selling direct to end-customers, Cisco vowed a partner-led sales model for MDR and additional managed services.
Ruba Borno, VP and GM, Cisco Managed Services, has spent the past year developing the managed services partner model. So far, the Cisco Managed Services include MDR, secure SD-WAN and Unified Communications Manager (UCM) cloud services.
To be clear, those are Cisco Managed Services delivered by partners. In addition to those efforts, Cisco has been refining its software and hardware -- such as Duo, Meraki and Umbrella -- to ensure it's easy for MSPs to promote those offerings into small business.
