CrowdStrike has delivered its new Falcon Insight for IoT, bringing prevention, detection and response capabilities to internet of things (IoT) and operational technology (OT) endpoints.

Falcon Insight for IoT is the world's first and only endpoint detection and response (EDR) and eXtended detection and response (XDR) solution for the extended internet of things (XIoT) assets, CrowdStrike indicated. It allows organization to use one platform to secure their XIoT assets, IT endpoints, cloud workloads, identities and data.

What Falcon Insight Does

Organizations can use Falcon Insight for IoT to identify ransomware, malware and other threats across their devices and systems, CrowdStrike noted. They also can leverage CrowdStrike's AI-based threat prevention to identify and address threats and receive custom security policy recommendations for their XIoT assets.

In addition, Falcon Insight for IoT offers host/process containment, USB device control and other integrated response actions, CrowdStrike said. It can be used in conjunction with security integrations from CrowdStrike Alliance partners as well.

Commenting on Falcon Insight for IoT, CrowdStrike President Michael Sentonas said:

"CrowdStrike is uniquely positioned to solve the most- pressing concerns for organizations with CrowdStrike Falcon Insight for IoT, which extends our industry-leading EDR/XDR capabilities to XIoT assets to stop breaches – leaving no endpoint unprotected."

CrowdStrike Announces Cybersecurity Partnerships

The Falcon Insight for IoT news comes after CrowdStrike partnered with the following cybersecurity companies in March 2023:

CrowdStrike offers the Elevate Partner Program to MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers. By joining this program, technology providers can integrate Falcon capabilities into their portfolios.
