Diversified Search Group of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has acquired Alta Associates, a New Jersey-based executive search firm focused on cybersecurity, IT risk management and data privacy. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is technology M&A deal number 249 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
Alta Associates, founded in 1986 by CEO Joyce Brocaglia, has 15 employees. As a part of the acquisition, the Executive Women’s Forum (Alta Associates’ professional membership organization) will operate under the banner of Diversified Search Group.
Diversified Search Group operates in more than a dozen offices nationwide, and is the U.S. partner of AltoPartners, an international alliance of independent executive search firms.
“This is a strategic acquisition that will add significantly to our business offering in a key field that touches every client we serve,” said Diversified Search Group CEO Aileen Alexander, in a prepared statement. “Cybersecurity, data privacy, and resiliency are top priorities for boards and senior leadership across every sector of our economy."
Meanwhile, M&A activity involving technology staffing firms appears strong.
