Strengthening CNAPP Capabilities for Scalable Multi-Cloud Security
Fortinet has introduced several new enhancements to Lacework FortiCNAPP, its cloud-native application protection platform. These updates are focused on improving real-time visibility, reducing operational overhead, and simplifying protection for applications and workloads at scale.New capabilities include:“Fortinet’s latest FortiCNAPP updates are designed to help Managed Service Providers (MSSPs) move faster, scale efficiently, and simplify operations. These enhancements boost speed, consistency, and scalability for MSSPs managing cloud-native environments.”
“You can now detect threats in AWS, like compromised keys, in under 15 minutes. Explorer provides analysts with a visual interface to quickly investigate risks and misconfigurations. Agentless Windows Scanning makes it easy to secure workloads across any cloud without the need to install agents. And Fleet Management helps monitor agent coverage and health across all customers in one place.”
Expanded AWS Marketplace Availability for Faster MSSP Onboarding
Fortinet is also growing its presence in AWS Marketplace, simplifying procurement and deployment workflows for MSSPs and their customers. Newly available offerings include FortiAppSec Cloud, FortiMail Workspace Security, FortiNDR Cloud, FortiSIEM, and Fortinet Incident Response Services. These tools are now transactable through AWS’s Consulting Partner Private Offers (CPPO), enabling MSSPs to bundle services, streamline operations, and offer cost-effective, scalable security solutions.“Fortinet is making it easier for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to deploy, transact, and scale through AWS Marketplace,” Hwang notes. “With FortiFlex, MSSPs can license Fortinet products on a usage-based model, giving them flexibility and cost control. FortiFlex also offers APIs for MSSPs to readily integrate and automate deployments and gain visibility into usage.”
“Our Marketplace portfolio, including FortiCNAPP, FortiGate VM and CNF, FortiAppSec, FortiMail, FortiNDR, and FortiSIEM, helps MSSPs capture margin and deliver bundled cloud security services with greater speed and efficiency.”
Unified Platform Strategy: Reducing Complexity, Improving Differentiation
In a cloud security landscape increasingly crowded with point solutions, Fortinet’s unified approach helps MSSPs reduce operational friction and differentiate their offerings.By combining CNAPP, WAAP, SIEM, and NDR capabilities into a single platform, Fortinet eliminates the need for fragmented tools and manual integration efforts. The platform shares telemetry across services, streamlines policy management, and enables MSSPs to operate from a single management console.“Fortinet’s unified platform provides MSSPs with a clear edge by integrating CNAPP, WAAP, SIEM, and NDR into a single, AI-enhanced solution,” says Hwang. “This removes the need to stitch together point products and reduces operational complexity. MSSPs gain complete visibility across cloud, apps, identities, and infrastructure from a single console.”
“With this platform, MSSPs can deliver end-to-end managed services, bundle offerings, and enhance customer retention while maintaining lean and efficient operations.”
