Fresche Solutions, an IBM solutions provider backed by private equity firms American Pacific Group (APG) and Northstar Capital, has acquired security, auditing and detection software and services company Trinity Guard. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is technology M&A deal number 254 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.
Together, Fresche and Trinity Guard can provide IBM application modernization, infrastructure and security software and services, Fresche CEO Stephen Woodard said.

Trinity Guard, based in Houston, Texas, has nine employees listed on LinkedIn. The company helps customers to secure IBM i and Linux servers, and to comply with such regulations as SOX, PCI and GDPR. Trinity Guard will become a division of Fresche and continue to operate under its current name, the companies said.
Key Trinity Guard services include:
- TGAudit: Lets organizations use predefined security content to assess security vulnerabilities and prepare for audits.
- TGCentral: Provides a centralized web console for IBM i environments.
- TGDetect: Notifies end-users about suspicious system activity and allows them to take remediation actions.
- TGSecure: Protects IBM i and iSeries servers.
Trinity Guard also offers TGFree, s free security assessment tool. Organizations can use TGFree to review 47 critical vulnerability points across their systems, the company stated.
In addition, Trinity Guard offers a channel partner program for MSSPs and MSPs.

Fresche, based in Montreal, Quebec, has 350 employees listed on LinkedIn. The company specializes in IT consulting, strategy, design, development, modernization and transformation services -- especially for IBM AS/400 customers seeking a modern IT path forward. Key clientele has included Adidas, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Volvo, the company indicated.
Fresche offers a partner program for VARs, ISVs and systems integrators. The company also has M&A experience. An earlier deal in September 2021 involved Fresche acquiring Abacus Solutions LLC, a provider of IBM i cloud, managed services and infrastructure solutions.
Private equity firms American Pacific Group and Northstar Capital have owned Fresche Solutions since December 2020.
