GuidePoint Security is offering its Breach & Attack Simulation as a Service (BASaaS) to help organizations improve their security posture and get the most value out of their BAS tool investments.

Organizations can use GuidePoint's BASaaS to develop simulation strategies built around the technology within their IT environment and industry-specific threat intelligence, the company said in a prepared statement. That way, they can deploy their BAS sensors in accordance with best practices and verify that their BAS tools are configured properly.

In addition, BASaaS provides organizations with dashboards and reports customized to their needs, GuidePoint noted. It also connects organizations to BAS tool vendors to ensure that new features are implemented correctly and any issues are addressed right away.

Victor Wieczorek, GuidePoint's vice president of Application security and Threat and Attack Simulation, commented on the BASaaS release and what it delivers:

"Our service is designed to optimize your BAS toolset, show results in real-time and provide a roadmap to better security."

GuidePoint Security Partners with Cequence Security, Fortress

The BASaaS launch comes after GuidePoint in May 2023 announced that API security company Cequence Security joined its Emerging Cyber Vendor Program. Cequence is utilizing GuidePoint's federal expertise across sales and marketing, operations, engineering and procurement to extend its reach in the federal market, the companies said. Also, Cequence will offer its Unified API Protection solution under GuidePoint's General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule Contract #GS-35F-508CA.

Previously, Fortress Information Security, an IT and operational technology (OT) security company, in February 2023 joined GuidePoint's Emerging Cyber Vendor Program. With the partnership, Fortress' platform of third-party risk management, cyber supply chain security and vulnerability management solutions is now available under GuidePoint’s GSA Multiple Award Schedule Contract #GS-35F-508CA, the companies said.

What MSSPs Need to Know About GuidePoint Security

GuidePoint offers cybersecurity and solutions to help organizations "make better decisions that minimize risk," the company indicated. Along with BASaaS, GuidePoint offers several managed security services, including:

  • Application security as a service
  • CISO as a service

GuidePoint offers its Emerging Cyber Vendor Program to help organizations use its cybersecurity solutions and services to enter or extend their reach in the federal market. The company does not currently offer a formal partner program for MSSPs and MSPs but may look to develop and launch one in the near future.
