Imprivata, backed by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, has acquired critical access management (CAM) software company SecureLink. The sellers were private equity firms Cove Hill Partners and Vista Equity Partners. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 207 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Imprivata, which specialists in digital identity solutions in the healthcare market, has 655 employees listed on LinkedIn. SecureLink, which offers secure access to IT and OT infrastructure in regulated industries, has 233 employees listed on LinkedIn.

In a prepared statement about the acquisition, Imprivata CEO Gus Malezis said:

"While it is an exciting day for Imprivata, our North Star has been and continues to be our customers. This integration will further expand our strategic vision of digital identity in healthcare and beyond."

SecureLink's ownership model has changed multiple times in recent years. Vista Equity acquired the business in 2017, and then Cove Hill acquired majority ownership in 2020.
