Ironscales, a phishing detection, response and prevention platform provider, has raised $15 million in a Series B funding round led by K1 Investment Management. The Series B funding comes after Ironscales and MSSP BDO last month announced a partnership to deliver a managed detection and response (MDR) solution.
The Series B funding enables Ironscales to grow its U.S. operations, CEO Eyal Benishti said. It also brings Ironscales' total funding to date to $25 million.
Ironscales provides a multi-layered platform that blocks phishing attacks and helps end users detect email attacks, the company stated. The platform combines human intelligence with machine learning and artificial intelligence to automatically prevent, detect and respond to email threats and predict future cyberattacks.
Meanwhile, Ironscales has experienced triple-digit growth and 10x revenue growth in the United States over the past year, the company noted. It also has nearly 1,000 customers, more than 30 employees and 54 partners globally.
KnowBe4 Introduces Phishing Email Reply Test
In addition to Ironscales, security awareness training provider KnowBe4 is helping organizations combat phishing attacks.
KnowBe4 in April launched Phishing Reply Test (PRT), a web-based tool to help organizations determine if their employees will respond to phishing emails. PRT tests employees on common scenarios for targeted phishing attacks and allows an organization to select and send an email template to employees and phish for responses.
Furthermore, approximately 156 million phishing emails are sent out daily, according to cybersecurity research database CyberDB. As organizations search for ways to identify and stop phishing attacks, MSSPs that integrate phishing detection, response and prevention services into their portfolios could help organizations address these attacks.
