Liongard is expanding its proactive cybersecurity stack with the acquisition of Darklight Cyio platform, an AI-powered cyber risk solution built to surface and prioritize vulnerabilities based on real-time threat intelligence and business context.

The move expands Liongard’s attack surface management (ASM) platform, allowing managed service providers (MSPs) and partners to better identify, assess, and respond to cyber risks. By integrating Cyio’s continuous risk scoring, contextual analysis, and business-aligned reporting, Liongard now will offersa more intelligent and targeted approach to managing vulnerabilities across complex environments.

"This integration represents a significant evolution in our platform. We’re moving from simply showing partners what’s changing in their environments to helping them understand what matters most, and why," Michelle Accardi, CEO of Liongard.

Enabling Proactive Security Posture

By adding real-time threat intelligence and business context, Liongard is enabling partners to prioritize risk with clarity and take decisive action. "It’s especially impactful in workflows like targeted remediation, framework-aligned reporting, and risk-based QBRs. Instead of drowning in data, partners can zero in on the vulnerabilities that carry real business risk, respond faster and prove value to their clients," says Accardi.

The Cyio platform introduces always-on risk scoring and dynamic, stakeholder-ready reports aligned to standards such as NIST and FedRAMP. This allows security teams to operationalize a proactive security posture while managing the demands of alert fatigue and limited resources.

According to Accardi, “These capabilities shrink the gap between detection and action by applying AI and context to surface only the most relevant risks, helping teams cut through the noise and stay focused.”

Redefining the MSP Security Stack

The acquisition positions Liongard as a more strategic player in the evolving MSP and MSSP ecosystem. “It represents a strategic move from visibility to control,” said Accardi. “By unifying asset intelligence, contextual risk prioritization, and automation, Liongard is now enabling partners to not just see risk but act on it with precision and speed.”

The impact is especially evident in helping MSPs scale efficiently. “One of the biggest wins is operational efficiency and improved profitability,” Accardi said. “With intelligent prioritization and built-in reporting, even tier-one techs can perform the work of a tier-three analyst. That means fewer escalations, faster resolutions, and the ability to scale security outcomes without scaling headcount.”

By helping partners cut through alert fatigue, simplify reporting, and reduce manual overhead, Liongard is empowering MSPs to deliver more value while managing complexity. The acquisition also reflects a larger industry trend toward platform consolidation as service providers seek unified, risk-informed solutions that can scale alongside customer demands.
