Password Management: LogMeIn LastPass Seeks MSP Partners -

MSPs worldwide can now sell, manage, and support LastPass Enterprise, a password management and single sign-on solution from LogMeIn.

LogMeIn now has 17 products available to channel partners, including industry leaders like LastPass, Bold360, GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToRoom and GoToConnect, as well as LogMeIn Central, Pro and Rescue, the company says.

LogMeIn has a mixed history with MSPs. The company's tools are popular for IT management, but a big price increases in 2015 and other increases in recent years sent some partners exiting to alternative platforms.

Still, LogMeIn is undergoing a business evolution under private equity ownership. Indeed, private equity firms Francisco Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital announced plans to acquire LogMeIn for $4.3 billion in December 2019.

Fast forward to June 2010, and LogMeIn hired Rich Veldran as CFO, and Paddy Srinivasan hired Ed Herdiech for the newly created post of chief product & technology officer (CPTO).

Multiple cloud and software companies offer password management tools to and through MSP partners. MSP-friendly solutions in the market include:

Myki;

Passly from Kaseya’s ID Agent;

Passportal from SolarWinds MSP; and

Duo from Cisco Systems, among others.
