Mandiant has announced Executive Cybersecurity Services, which provide "frontline expertise, tailored mentorship and hands-on guidance for CISOs and senior leaders to achieve their risk-reduction goals, communicate with non-security executives and board members and prepare for cybersecurity incidents," according to the company.

Organizations can use Mandiant's Executive Cybersecurity Services to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics so they can debrief and educate their senior leaders and boards about cybersecurity, the company noted. The services help organizations fine-tune their communications to provide executive audiences and boards with the information they need to make risk-based decisions. They also allow organizations to craft incident response and crisis communication playbooks so they can identify the best ways to respond to cyberattacks.

Executive Cybersecurity Services include:

  • Cyber threat profile development to help executives and boards understand cyber risks and the potential impact of data breaches
  • Executive tabletop exercises that walk business leaders through their organizations' incident response plans and prepare these leaders for cyberattacks and data breaches
  • Virtual CISO (vCISO) and CISO advisory services to help organizations fill temporary gaps in their security leadership, provide mentorship and deliver custom training to their security and intelligence teams

Mandiant Introduces Breach Analytics for Google Cloud Chronicle

The Executive Cybersecurity Services launch comes after Mandiant in October 2022 released Breach Analytics for the Google Cloud Chronicle security operations offering. Breach Analytics lets organizations monitor events in Chronicle for current, relevant indicators of compromise (IOCs) and generate threat insights, Mandiant stated.

Breach Analytics utilizes automation and contextual decision models that can adapt to a user's IT environment, Mandiant indicated. It automatically analyzes current and historical logs, events and alerts and matches them to IOCs as they are discovered in real time.

In addition, Breach Analytics leverages breach intelligence and expertise from Mandiant's incident responders, analysts and threat hunters, Mandiant stated. As such, Breach Analytics helps organizations operationalize Mandiant's threat intelligence.

Mandiant is a Google Cloud company that offers the Advantage platform, which provides threat intelligence, alert investigation and prioritization and validation of security controls products. It works with MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers through its partner program.
