MSSP Acquired: Apollo Information Systems Buys CyberDefenses of Texas

Apollo Information Systems has acquired CyberDefenses Inc., a managed security services provider (MSSP) based near Austin, Texas. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 572 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

MSSP, Cybersecurity And Ransomware Mitigation Capabilities

Apollo Information Systems, founded in 2002, has 28 employees listed on LinkedIn. The company, based in Los Gatos, California, is a national value-added reseller (VAR) that "provides our clients with the complete set of cybersecurity and networking services and solutions."

Apollo operates a SOC2 Certified and CMMC Compliant Security Operations Center, has Facility Security Clearance, and employs many professionals with Secret and Top Secret clearances, the company asserts.

CyberDefenses, founded in 2001, has 48 employees listed on LinkedIn. The company, based in Round Rock, Texas, offers cybersecurity services to federal, state and local government agencies, and global enterprise clientele.

The combined businesses will protect customers "against threats such as ransomware, economic espionage, and nation-state attacks," Apollo indicated.

In a prepared statement about the deal, Apollo CEO Mike Guglielmo said:

CyberDefenses has M&A experience. The company acquired identity management firm Triumvir of Houston, Texas in 2016.
