Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. Password Management Offer: 1Password, a business password manager provider, has joined the Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN) and is now available in AWS Marketplace. This enables 1Password to offer access to its enterprise password manager solution and accelerate deployment of its solution for AWS global customers. 1Password is currently available in AWS Marketplace in North America and plans to expand to international regions this year, the company said.

2. Funding Round: Redcoat AI, a cybersecurity company focused on combating AI-powered threats, has emerged from stealth backed by $4.24 million in funding led by Pear VC, with participation from Leonis Capital, Sancus Ventures, Kyber Knight and others. Redcoat AI originated at Inception Studio, a nonprofit accelerator for experienced founders, the company said.

3. GPT Security Launch: Perception Point, a provider of advanced email and workspace security solutions, has launched GPThreat Hunter. Using the capabilities of OpenAI's GPT-4 model, GPThreat Hunter enables Perception Point to autonomously resolve complex security cases with accuracy and speed, the company said.

4. Attack Surface Security Release: XM Cyber, a specialist in continuous exposure management, has announced the extension of its platform to include external attack surface management (EASM) and exposed credentials capabilities. This new extension, in response to the evolving cyber threat landscape, empowers organizations to proactively manage and defend against cyber threats by providing unparalleled visibility into the attacker's journey, from the initial planning to compromising critical assets, the company said.

5. Healthcare Cybersecurity Acquisition: Anatomy IT, a platform for healthcare IT and cybersecurity solutions, has acquired Manta HealthTech, a healthcare-focused managed IT services firm, to expand its footprint in healthcare sub-verticals, including dental and optometry. 6. Threat Detection Report Released: Red Canary has released its sixth annual Threat Detection Report, examining the trends, threats and adversary techniques that organizations should prioritize in the coming months and years. The Red Canary report tracks MITRE ATT&CK techniques that adversaries abuse most frequently throughout the year, and two new and notable entries soared to the top 10 in 2023: email forwarding rule and cloud accounts.

7. Pharmacy Back After Cyberattack: UnitedHealth Group said on March 13 that its Change Healthcare's pharmacy network was back online, weeks after a cyberattack impacted across the country's healthcare system that depends heavily on insurance. Change Healthcare processes about 50% of medical claims in the United States for around 900,000 physicians, 33,000 pharmacies, 5,500 hospitals and 600 laboratories. (Source: Reuters)

8. NIST Toolkit Offered: Expel, a managed detection and response (MDR) provider, has released the updated version of its National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Getting Started toolkit. The kit, which includes a “getting started” guide and a self-scoring spreadsheet, helps security leaders and operators assess their cybersecurity postures, aligned with the recently released version 2.0 of the NIST CSF.

9. Election Security Partnership: The California Special Districts Association (CSDA) has partnered with VC3 to deliver cybersecurity and technology services to special voting districts in California. VC3, a managed IT and cybersecurity services provider serving municipalities, financial services organizations and businesses throughout North America. provides local governments with technology services and solutions that secure and modernize a special district's IT, the company said.
