Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. New MSSP Launches: Acumen, an "engineer-powered" cybersecurity services provider, has entered the UK market. Headquartered in Glasgow, Acumen offers clients a 24/7 security operations center (SOC). Its technology partners include CrowdStrike, Elastic, Fortinet and Barracuda... "turning it into one of very few MSSPs to offer such a powerful combination of world-leading products to the UK market," the company said.

2. Threat Management Acquisition: Flare, a specialist in threat exposure management, has acquired Foretrace, a U.S.-based data exposure company. "Bringing Foretrace into the Flare family further broadens our capabilities for collecting emergent threat data while also deepening our expertise, ensuring that we can be in a great position to lead the way in TEM," said Norman Menz, CEO of Flare. 3. Security Partnership: Swimlane, a security automation specialist, is partnering with Dragos, a cybersecurity provider for operational technology (OT) environments. Through the partnership, the companies are offering a new integration between Swimlane Turbine and the Dragos Platform that enables customers to automate threat detection across IT and OT environments, leveraging AI for synchronized response, the companies said.

4. Security Partnership: Cyolo, a remote privilege access management specialist, is partnering with TD SYNNEX, a global distributor and solutions aggregator for the IT ecosystem. The partnership empowers TD SYNNEX and Cyolo customers to tap into the increased enterprise demand of secure remote access in OT, critical infrastructure, cyber physical environments and their corresponding buying centers, the companies said.

5. Leadership Move: MSSP Inversion6 announced that Tom Siu has joined its CISO practice. He will collaborate with Inversion6 clients to develop and manage their cybersecurity programs. Siu’s recent CISO roles include Michigan State University and Case Western Reserve University, as well as a role virtual CISO with a veteran-owned MSSP.

6. Cyber Defense Partnership: Progress, a provider of infrastructure software, is partnering with Veeam Software, a specialist in data protection and ransomware recovery, to provide customers with an enterprise-ready cyber defense solution that strengthens the security of their business-critical data. The partnership between Progress and Veeam combines the intelligent network detection and response capabilities of Progress Flowmon Anomaly Detection System (ADS) with the security features of Veeam Data Platform, the companies said.

7. Managed Services Collaboration: Nozomi Networks, an OT and IoT security specialist, has extended its partnership with Yokogawa Electric Corporation to address global demand for managed security services and solutions designed to address the cybersecurity requirements of process manufacturers. Yokogawa will offer Nozomi Networks' advanced solutions for OT and IoT visibility, network monitoring and threat detection to customers worldwide as part of Yokogawa's OpreX Managed Services.

8. Secure Browser Launch: CyberArk, an identity security company, has brought to market the CyberArk Secure Browser, an identity-centric secure browser providing enhanced security and privacy. Available to customers of the CyberArk Identity Security Platform, the CyberArk Secure Browser safeguards the organization’s most valuable resources, enabling a secure passwordless experience, easy access to privileged information and assets and helping to prevent breaches resulting from cookie theft and session takeover attacks, the company said.

9. Data Security Deal: CrowdStrike and Rubrik have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate data security transformation and stop breaches of critical information. By unifying rich, data-centric attack context from the Rubrik Security Cloud with the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform, organizations can rapidly detect, investigate and stop attacks targeting sensitive data, the companies said.
