Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. Public Sector Security Partnerships: HYAS Infosec, an adversary infrastructure platform provider, and Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government IT solutions provider, have announced a partnership. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as HYAS’ Master Government Aggregator, bringing the company’s HYAS Protect protective Domain Name System (DNS) and HYAS Insight threat intelligence and investigation platforms to the public sector. In addition, Spatial Data Logic (SDL), a SaaS provider of workflow automation and digital transformation solutions, and Carahsoft have announced a partnership. Carahsoft will serve as SDL’s public sector distributor, making the company’s SaaS offering, SDL Connect, available through Carahsoft’s reseller partners and National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint and OMNIA Partners contracts.

2. Malware Protection: NetSecurity Corporation, an endpoint security solutions specialist, has released results from independent testing of its ThreatResponder platform. The evaluation revealed ThreatResponder's ability to detect and neutralize a 98% malware protection rate in the Business Malware Protection Test, the company said. ThreatResponder is an all-in-one cloud-native and AI-powered cyber resilient endpoint innovation built with capabilities including threat detection, prevention, response, analytics, hunting, intelligence, forensics, identity threat detection and response, vulnerability detection and insider threat monitoring. 

3. Cybersecurity Partnership with Seattle Kraken: WatchGuard Technologies, a specialist in unified cybersecurity, has deployed its Unified Security Platform architecture for the National Hockey League's Seattle Kraken, providing comprehensive protection against cyber threats for the NHL franchise. The Kraken now rely on WatchGuard to provide firewalls, endpoint protection, antivirus, advanced threat detection and response across all environments, and device and patch management, all managed from a single console, the company said.

4. SAP Security Release: SecurityBridge, a global provider of SAP security solutions, has brought to market its Next-Generation Security Dashboard for SAP. The new enhanced dashboard provides a comprehensive suite of security functions customized for CISOs, SOCs and SAP basis teams, including real-time views into threat monitoring, compliance ratings, patching status, code vulnerabilities, interface traffic and more. The Security Dashboard for SAP offers a library of predefined graphs and indicators, empowering customers to create custom security dashboards tailored to their needs easily, the company said.

5. AppSec Report Released: Digital.ai, an AI-powered DevSecOps platform provider, has released the results of its 2024 Application Security Threat Report, quantifying and emphasizing the pervasive risks to applications that run outside corporate firewalls ("in the wild".) The results show that the frequency of application attacks is rising as cyber criminals continue to prey on the increasing reliance on web, mobile and desktop apps.

6. Identity Security Research: CyberArk, an identity security company, has released a new global research report that shows how siloed approaches to securing human and machine identities are driving identity-based attacks across enterprises and their ecosystems. The CyberArk 2024 Identity Security Threat Landscape Report provides unique perspectives on how AI boosts cyber defenses as well as attacker capabilities, increases the pace at which identities are created in new and complex environments and highlights the scale of identity-related breaches affecting organizations, the company said.

7. CISA Releases Advisories: The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has released 17 Industrial Control Systems (ICS) advisories, 13 of which involve Siemens systems. These advisories provide timely information about current security issues, vulnerabilities and exploits surrounding ICS. CISA encourages users and administrators to review the newly released ICS advisories for technical details and mitigations.

8. Cyber Insurance Partnership: HITRUST, a specialist in enterprise risk management, information security and compliance assurances, is partnering with Trium Cyber, a specialty insurance underwriter. This collaboration introduces a new cyber insurance product exclusively available to HITRUST-certified customers.
