1. Security Partnership Enables MSPs: Malwarebytes has formed a new integration with ConnectWise, a software company specializing in IT solution providers. The new integration gives ConnectWise customers access to the full Malwarebytes portfolio of ThreatDown solutions, including ThreatDown EDR and ThreatDown MDR, powered by the ConnectWiseAsio platform. MSPs and cloud resellers will now have immediate access to award-winning endpoint protection, detection and response, according to Malwarebytes.

2. Cyber Defense Partnership: Guardz, the cybersecurity company securing and insuring small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has formed a strategic partnership with SentinelOne, an AI-powered security specialist. Guardz and SentinelOne will collaborate on technological advancements and go-to- market strategies, empowering MSPs to serve their SMB clients, the companies said.

3. Channel Partner Program Debuts: SecurityGate, a software company that enables cyber teams to secure the world's critical infrastructure, has launched a new channel program aimed at collaborating with service providers, resellers, technology integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMS). This strategic initiative is designed to empower asset owners to enhance their cybersecurity posture, the company said.

4. Cyber Education Initiative: Google Cloud is offering new certificates and courses in generative AI, cybersecurity and data analytics to help connect talent to in-demand tech jobs across industries and sectors. Launch employer partners include the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Rackspace, Jack Henry and Purdue Global, all of whom are helping learners advance their careers through the new trainings, Google Cloud said.

5. Endpoint Security Release: Tanium, a converged endpoint management provider, debuted Tanium Automate at the Converge World Tour in New York City. Alongside Tanium Guardian and its partnership with Microsoft Copilot for Security, Tanium Automate serves as another critical component in support of the autonomous endpoint management (AEM) capabilities within the Tanium XEM platform, the company said.

6. MDR Product Offers: Bitdefender, a cybersecurity company specializing in threat prevention, detection and response solutions, has unveiled an evolution of its Managed Detection & Response Services, now offered in two distinct tiers. MDR and MDR PLUS are tailored for a customer’s specific needs, environments and risk factors, such as industry, geography, supply chains and more, the company said. Bitdefender MDR Services are available now and offers a proof-of-concept program allowing customers to try the service for 30 days (with no restrictions) before purchasing.

7. Data Theft Incident: Phone numbers and other data belonging to users of Cisco Duo’s identity authentication service have been stolen following the breach of a third-party telephony supplier. Cisco Duo provides organizations with multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on network access. In an email to affected customers, Cisco’s data privacy and incident response team said a threat actor gained access on April 1 to the internal systems of a telephony company Duo uses to send MFA messages via SMS and automated voice calls. 8. Customer Data Published: An extortion group has published a portion of what it says are the private and sensitive patient records on millions of Americans stolen during the ransomware attack on Change Healthcare in February. A new ransomware and extortion gang, which calls itself "RansomHub," published several files on its dark web leak site containing personal information about patients across different documents, including billing files, insurance records and medical information. 9. Leadership Move: SecureAuth, a specialist in next-generation access management and authentication, has appointed Joseph Dhanapal as CEO and member of the board of directors. Most recently, Dhanapal served as vice president, PingOne Advanced Services, at Ping Identity, where he was the general manager leading the go-to-market and operations strategy for Ping’s advanced cloud solution. Dhanapal has also held leadership roles at TeleTech, CenturyLink, Qwest and US West.
