Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. New MXDR Service Launches: NuHarbor Security, a managed security provider (MSP), has launched its Microsoft Sentinel Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service. This fully managed service provides threat detection, expert-led analysis and actionable response recommendations for organizations using the Microsoft Sentinel security information and event management (SIEM) platform, the company said.

2. MSSP Debuts Partner Program: DirectDefense is launching a new partner program to drive growth of its cybersecurity ecosystem and help partners to expand and differentiate their business offerings. The DirectDefense program enables partners to add new revenue streams by providing managed security services, OT/connected systems security services and professional services from DirectDefense to their current offerings, the company said.

3. MSP Partner Program Expands: Skyhigh Security has announced the expansion of its Altitude Partner Program. Skyhigh Security will now offer professional services and MSP specializations, providing partners with a streamlined route-to-market for Skyhigh Security’s product portfolio. The Altitude Partner Program "places partners at the center of Skyhigh Security’s channel strategy and is designed to be simple, predictable and profitable for partners by equipping them with the best incentives, tools and education," the company said.

4. Product Security Release: Cybellum, a product security platform provider, has released its V2.38 Product Security Platform. This release introduces the CSMS Cockpit, enabling automotive OEMs and device manufacturers to significantly improve their cybersecurity management capabilities with a comprehensive view of product risk, security activities and requirement validation status, the company said.

5. Passwordless Authentication Advancement: Bitwarden, a credential management specialist, has updated its Passwordless.dev enterprise plan with event logs and self-hosting options. Bitwarden Passwordless.dev developers can implement passkey authentication at a reliable scale, enabling greater focus on product development. It also empowers smaller, agile developer teams to bring passkey authentication to market within hours, the company said.

6. AI-Backed Cyber Defense: Recorded Future announced that Recorded Future AI is emerging out of beta to "defend democracy" against global cyber threats. Expanding Recorded Future AI capabilities, new enterprise capabilities offer every analyst across an organization a generative AI-based assistant for intelligence and defense, as well as the ability to software-define very large enterprise threat surfaces in physical and cyberspace and use those in AI analytics, the company said.

7. Hybrid Attack Protection: Vectra AI, a specialist in hybrid attack detection, investigation and response, has launched Vectra MXDR services, a global, 24x7 open MXDR service built to defend against hybrid attacks. This offering eliminates silos to provide hybrid attack surface visibility across identity, public cloud, SaaS, data center and cloud networks and endpoints via integrations with leading endpoint detection and response (EDR) vendors, the company said.

8. Cisco Announces Mass Layoffs: Cisco Systems shares fell more than 3% on February 15 after the networking equipment maker reduced its annual revenue forecast and rolled out job cuts as it battles sluggish demand from telecommunications and cable service providers. Cisco is reportedly laying off 4,000 people, representing about 5% of its global workforce. (Source: Reuters, Seeking Alpha)

9. AI-Powered SOC Debuts: Infoblox, a specialist in cloud networking and security services, has launched SOC Insights, its AI-driven security operations solution that boosts its DNS detection and response solution, BloxOne Threat Defense. SOC Insights empowers security analysts to jump-start investigations and dramatically reduce response time by turning vast amounts of security events, network, ecosystem and unique DNS intelligence data into a manageable set of immediate, actionable insights at AI-speed, the company said.
