Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. Security Partnership: Resecurity, a global cybersecurity company, has formed a strategic partnership with Beyon Cyber, a digital security provider in the Middle East and Cyprus region. Resecurity and Beyon Cyber will jointly engage in threat intelligence sharing, collaborative incident response initiatives and comprehensive cybersecurity awareness programs, the companies said.

2. Breach Protection Program: BforeAI, a predictive attack intelligence and digital risk protection specialist, has launched the PreCrime Guarantee, a new breach protection pledge that underlines confidence in their cybersecurity solutions platform, which predicts, blocks and preempts malicious campaigns before they can impact an organization. PreCrime Guarantee reimburses customers up to 10 times the value of their service contract if impacted by a cyberattack due to a failure by BforeAI's predictive solution, the company said.

3. Cybersecurity Training Program: Veeam Software, a data protection and ransomware recovery specialist, is offering new technical training and certification programs through Veeam University, which delivers on-demand technical training to IT professionals. The new online offering is the result of a global partnership with Tsunati, a Veeam Accredited Service Partner, delivering on-demand technical certification training for partners and customers world-wide, the company said.

4. Network Security Partnership: NEXCOM, a supplier of network solutions, CTOne, a global cybersecurity specialist in communication technology, and Vertex, a system integrator of 5G private network, have joined forces to advance 5G private network security within semiconductor manufacturing site framework. Designed to address the specific cybersecurity challenges common in operational technology networks, the collaborative solution offers protection and seamless integration into existing network architectures with minimal disruption to operations during deployment, the companies said.

5. SaaS Security Solution: To secure emerging SaaS attack surfaces, Adaptive Shield has extended the capabilities of its SaaS Security Posture Management unified platform to cover complex permissions and shared data. The permission inventory gives customers deep visibility into permission structures at the SaaS stack level through an automated approach. This announcement follows the Adaptive Shield’s recent launch of GenAI Posture Management at the 2024 RSA Conference, the company said.

6. Cyber Insurance Initiative: Incyde Risk has launched a new cyber facility powered by Safe Security, led by Mosaic 1609 and supported by other participating Lloyd's syndicates, to streamline cyber insurance solutions. The new facility will provide up to $25 million in capacity on a primary and first-excess basis. "The partnership is profound, as it pairs expert underwriting with highly specialized risk assessment and quantification," said Mark Wheeler, Co-CEO of Mosaic. 

7. Industry Recognition: ReasonLabs announced that its flagship product, RAV Endpoint Protection, has been awarded the highest grade of A+ in Virus Bulletin's rigorous VB100 antivirus test. Virus Bulletin conducts comprehensive evaluations of cybersecurity products to assess their effectiveness in combating cyber threats. The A+ grade signifies RAV Endpoint Protection's performance in detecting and neutralizing malware, ransomware and other malicious software, the company said.

8. Cisco Security Advisory: Cisco released a bundled publication for security advisories that address vulnerabilities in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Firepower Management Center (FMC) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) software. A cyber threat actor could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system, according to the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

9. Data Security Incident Reported: Prescription management company Sav-Rx is warning more than 2.8 million people in the U.S. that their personal data was stolen in a 2023 cyberattack. A&A Services, doing business as Sav-RX, is a pharmacy benefit management company that provides prescription drug management services to employers, unions and other organizations across the U.S. (Source Bleeping Computer)

10. Malware Alert: Security researchers at Trellix have uncovered fake websites impersonating legitimate antivirus solutions, which threat actors can use to distribute malware. The malware is primarily being used to steal sensitive data from Android and Windows devices. The fake websites impersonate antivirus software, such as Malwarebytes, Avast and Bitdefender. (Source: Spiceworks)
