Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. Cloud Security Deal Closes: Sourcepass, an MSSP, has acquired Microsoft Cloud experts Big Green ITBig Green IT marks Sourcepass' 11th acquisition since March 2022. Founded by a team of Microsoft Cloud and Hybrid experts in 2012, Big Green IT was built with the mission of connecting enterprise businesses to the Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem. Establishing a Microsoft Center of Excellence and expanding their presence on the U.S. West Coast have been key initiatives for Sourcepass, the company said. 2. Channel Partner Program Launches: Uptycs, a cloud security platform provider for large hybrid cloud environments, has launched Upward, its channel-first partner program. The new program will help Uptycs bring its cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) and services to enterprises seeking to secure their critical workloads, the company said.

3. Cloud Security Partnership: BlueVoyant is partnering with TEKsystems Global Services to provide customers with a portfolio of cloud security solutions, taking advantage of their respective Microsoft expertise. BlueVoyant is a Microsoft security partner and TEKsystems is a recognized Microsoft Solutions Partner in modern work, data and AI and digital and app innovation, the companies said.

4. SMB Security Collaboration: Prescriptive Data Solutions, a specialist in technology consulting, solutions and services, and Cynet, an all-in-one automated cybersecurity solution provider, have formed a strategic partnership to expand access to Cynet’s platform and make it easy for more small and medium-sized (SMBs) to rapidly achieve total visibility and protection across their most critical systems and valuable assets.

5. Asset Governance for MSPs: Compliance Scorecard​​, a governance-as-a-service solution provider for MSPs, and ConnectSecure, an MSP vulnerability management solutions specialist, have joined forces to automate asset governance. With just a few clicks, MSPs can pull inventory data from ConnectSecure vulnerability scans into Compliance Scorecard’s Asset Scorecard, giving them the ability to identify all managed assets and govern them, the companies said.

6. Leadership Move: Deepwatch, a managed security platform provider, announced that Curt Aubley has joined its executive team as chief operating officer and chief product officer. Aubley will lead the product and security operations teams, including delivering the next generation of the Deepwatch platform to include AI-driven capabilities as well as open, seamless integrations with a wide array of customer’s data sources, the company said.

7. Exposure Management Release: Tenable, an exposure management specialist, has released Tenable One for OT/IoT. The exposure management platform provides holistic visibility into assets across IT and operational technology (OT) environments, the company said. The Tenable One platform now combines the vulnerability coverage spanning IT assets, cloud resources, containers, web apps, identity systems and OT and IoT assets.

8. Hospital Chain Ransomware Attack Update: Healthcare providers across the United States are struggling to get paid following the week-long ransomware outage at UnitedHealth Group, with some smaller providers saying they are already running low on cash. Large hospital chains are also locked out of processing payments, with some absorbing the upfront costs of being unable to collect, according to the American Hospital Association (AHA). 9. Managed Services Launch: Astreya, a specialist in global IT managed services, has launched its Cybersecurity Managed Services, which encompass a wide range of solutions, including identity management, endpoint protection and risk management. These services are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructures, providing security layers and defense mechanisms, the company said.
