At Right of Boom last month, news broke of a cool partnership between Right of Boom itself, Center for Internet Security, Black Hills Information and Antisyphon to deliver CIS Controls training to MSPs.

This course is endorsed by the Center for Internet Security and can be used to obtain your CIS accreditation affordably and easily. Now, John Strand and Phyllis Lee are hosting their first Getting Started & Ask Me Anything (AMA) in the CIS Controls Mastery Course for MSPs so you can see what it's all about.

The AMA will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm EST, and it's open to all. Check it out!

Now, here's today's MSSP update. Drop me a line at [email protected] if you have news to share or want to say hi!

Today's MSSP Update

1. Orca partners with Monday to streamline security fixes: Orca Security today announced a partnership with Monday.com that allows security and dev teams to transfer critical security data directly from the Orca Platform into monday.com’s work management platform for precise prioritization and remediation of security issues. That means whoever is responsible for the fix has all the information they need to remediate the issue. Users can create templates that fit their specific workflows, and a risk score prioritizes incoming work. Other fields provide cloud engineers with precise information on which asset needs help and how to fix the issue.

2. CrowdStrike inks distro agreement with Arrow: CrowdStrike has signed a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics that will offer the CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to Arrow channel partners and customers across the U.S. and Canada. This collaboration expands CrowdStrike’s channel ecosystem to Arrow’s resellers, CSPs, MSPs and MSSPs.

3. SpecterOps raises $75M Series B: Adversary threat intel services firm SpecterOps has raised $75 million in Series B funding, the company announced. The round was led by global software investor Insight Partners, with participation from additional investors, including Ansa Capital, M12, Ballistic Ventures, Decibel, and Cisco Investments. The funding will support SpecterOps’ rapid scaling of BloodHound Enterprise (BHE), a platform for comprehensively removing identity-based attack paths.

4. Bitdefender joins AWS ISV Accelerate program: Cybersecurity firm Bitdefender announced this week it joined the AWS ISV Accelerate program, a co-sell initiative designed for AWS partners offering software solutions that run on or integrate with AWS and are sold through the AWS Marketplace. The program will help customers integrate Bitdefender’s endpoint protection, cloud security, and other solutions into their AWS deployments.

5. Devo names new CEO: Security data analytics firm Devo Technology has named Ken Naumann its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Walter Scott, who served as the interim CEO, will continue to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Naumann is a veteran of the cybersecurity industry, having held CEO roles in a mix of high-growth public, private-equity, and venture-based companies. Prior to Devo, he served as CEO of NetWitness, a provider of cybersecurity threat detection and response solutions. Congratulations!
