N-able Adds $100K Cyber Warranty, Expanding How MSPs Deliver Resilience

MSSPs and MSPs are now expected to deliver more than technical protection - they are also being asked to guarantee outcomes. N-able’s new Cyber Warranty Program moves in that direction and gives security and service providers a way to back their security offerings with financial assurance. The program, tied to the Adlumin Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Advanced package, provides up to $100,000 in coverage per protected customer, creating a built-in layer of resilience that extends beyond detection and response.

Making Cyber Resilience Tangible

Troels Emil Hojlund-Rasmussen, VP, GM, Security and Corporate Development at N-able, told MSSP Alert that the intent was never to replace traditional insurance but to make security value more tangible for MSPs and their clients.

“Our warranty program is complementary to cyber insurance (not a displacement),” he explained. “The program provides a way to cover expenses and business income loss for ransomware and business email compromise events. What makes our offering and our partnership with Cysurance unique is the fact that it scales with the number of clients and MSP services supported with Adlumin. In short, you get up to 100k coverage per customer you have enrolled in the program as an MSP - one warranty per SMB or end customer, with no upper limit.”

That scalability is central to its appeal. Instead of being bound by a single policy, MSPs can extend financial coverage across their customer base, creating measurable protection for every client under their management. It also signals a shift in how MSPs talk about cybersecurity - less about toolsets, more about guaranteed recovery outcomes.

Linking Coverage to Best Practices

The warranty isn’t automatic. It’s earned through adherence to core security hygiene practices that reduce risk across environments. As Hojlund-Rasmussen explained, “At a high level, these include foundational security hygiene controls: patching, MFA, endpoint protection, immutable backups, security awareness training, and having Adlumin deployed in the designated environment.”

By requiring these standards, the program helps reinforce a proactive mindset among customers. MSPs can use these criteria not just as a compliance checklist but as a conversation starter, encouraging clients to see resilience as an ongoing process rather than a single point solution.

Partnership Built on Confidence

N-able developed the program in partnership with Cysurance, a company known for underwriting financial protection tied to cyber performance. According to Hojlund-Rasmussen, that partnership reflects deep confidence in the Adlumin product suite and the partners delivering it.

“We’ve built the program with Cysurance because we have a very high level of confidence in our Adlumin product suite, and the program allows our partners to have even better conversations with their customers on security,” he said. “At times, it can be hard to articulate the value of security to SMBs, but putting a 100k warranty behind your offering makes it even more tangible to decision-makers.”

That credibility is particularly useful for MSPs selling into markets where cost justification remains a hurdle. Being able to point to an included financial warranty helps reframe security from a defensive cost to a resilience investment.

A Practical Edge for MSPs

Beyond financial protection, the Cyber Warranty Program helps MSPs stand apart in a crowded field. As Hojlund-Rasmussen noted, the ultimate goal is to make cybersecurity easier for both partners and end customers.

“Security can be hard and daunting - our goal is to make it easier for both our partners and their customers, and ultimately drive better security practices and help ensure business resilience.”

For MSPs, it’s a way to prove that their offerings don’t just stop an attack - they help clients recover from one. And in a market where trust, accountability, and resilience now define success, N-able’s approach gives service providers something rare: a promise they can stand behind.
