Infinigate Group, a Swiss value-added distributor (VAD) for cybersecurity solutions, has purchased the cybersecurity and secure networking division of European IT distributor Nuvias Group. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022.

This is technology M&A deal number 595 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Infinigate, founded in 1996, is based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. The company has 110 employees listed on LinkedIn. Infinigate's areas of expertise include computer and network security.

Nuvias, founded in 2015, is based in Woking, England. The company has 362 employees listed on LinkedIn. Nuvias' areas of expertise include cybersecurity, networking, cloud, development and operations and IT services.

What Does the Nuvias Acquisition Mean for Infinigate?

Nuvias expands Infinigate's global market reach and vendor partnerships, the companies said. It allows Infinigate to upgrade its cybersecurity, secure networking and secure cloud services for MSSPs, MSPs, small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprises.

In addition, Nuvias and Infinigate together will form a "pan-European cybersecurity powerhouse" that is expected to generate €1.4 billion (approximately $1.43 billion) in revenue, the companies said. Nuvias also could help Infinigate reach its goal to increase its annual revenue by more than 20%.

Infinigate Acquires French IT Security Solutions Distributor

The Nuvias acquisition comes after Infinigate acquired D2B Informatique, a French distributor of IT security solutions, storage and network infrastructure, in January 2022. D2B is expected to help Infinigate extends its global cybersecurity market reach, according to a prepared statement.

Infinigate spans 11 European countries and covers more than 80% of the western European cybersecurity market. It is owned and operated by private equity firm Bridgepoint (which acquired the VAD in March 2021) and delivers cybersecurity solutions from more than 70 vendors through its European network of 10,000-plus partners.
