VIPRE Security Group Launches Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Solution

VIPRE Security Group has brought to market the VIPRE Endpoint MDR solution to help organizations "specifically focus on investigating, containing and remediating security incidents swiftly and effectively," according to the company.

Organizations can use VIPRE Endpoint MDR to maintain round-the-clock security monitoring and incident coverage, VIPRE said.

Cyber Threats Are Escalating

Many organizations are transitioning from next-generation antivirus (NGAV) to endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems as they look for ways to address evolving cyber threats, VIPRE pointed out. That way, these organizations can respond to threats and comply with cyber insurance requirements.

However, many EDR solutions force organizations to perform their own research to analyze threats and generate an overwhelming number of security alerts. Thus, these solutions "can burden already stretched-thin IT teams, potentially creating more problems than solutions," VIPRE stated.

VIPRE Endpoint MDR Speeds Up Threat Containment and Remediation

VIPRE Endpoint MDR addresses some of the most common challenges associated with EDR solutions, the company indicated. The solution is a specialized overlay of the VIPRE EDR solution. It provides incident monitoring and investigation and analytics capabilities and incident remediation recommendations.

In addition, VIPRE Endpoint MDR is backed by a team of seasoned security experts with more than 260 years of combined experience, the company indicated. These experts identify, triage, investigate, contain and remediate threats.

Two Versions of VIPRE Endpoint MDR Are Available

The standard version of VIPRE Endpoint MDR provides security incident monitoring and investigation, analytics and recommendations for internal teams to remediate threats, VIPRE stated. It also allows users to isolate network endpoints to prevent the spread of ransomware, malware and other cyber threats.

Meanwhile, VIPRE Endpoint MDR Premium offers the same features and capabilities as VIPRE Endpoint MDR, along with forensic analysis, containment and remediation and other proactive incident response capabilities. VIPRE Endpoint MDR Premium can perform artifact analyses in sandbox environments to investigate indicators of compromise (IOCs) as well.
