Artificial intelligence systems are expected to be integrated by 90% of healthcare organizations into their cybersecurity toolkit by the end of 2025, with 50% already using such tools, SC Media reports.Threat intelligence has been cited as the leading use case for AI tools in healthcare cybersecurity, followed by data analytics, risk assessment, incident response, and internet of medical things connected device management, according to a survey from the Cyber Risk Alliance. "Endpoint security, encryption, and device management will be vital elements of cybersecurity in healthcare," said one respondent.Despite the promise of AI in healthcare cybersecurity, data security and privacy have been regarded by nearly 69% of respondents as a major worry about using the technology. Increased expenses and training on AI tool implementation and management were also important concerns of healthcare executives and security practitioners. However, another respondent noted that AI would reduce spending and bolster value.
