LevelBlue and Fortra Deepen Managed Security Ties

LevelBlue and Fortra have formed a strategic managed services partnership focused on expanding and scaling managed detection and response capabilities. As part of the agreement, LevelBlue will acquire Fortra’s Alert Logic managed services business, including MDR, XDR, and web application firewall services. The move adds depth to LevelBlue’s managed security portfolio while creating a tighter integration between managed services delivery and Fortra’s security platforms.

The transaction brings Alert Logic’s customer base onto LevelBlue’s managed services platform, extending coverage across more environments and increasing the volume of security telemetry feeding detection and response operations. For customers, the shift is positioned as a continuity play with broader global reach, expanded SOC operations, and faster response across hybrid and cloud-heavy environments. The acquisition also reflects a continued consolidation trend within the MDR market, where scale and operational depth matter as much as tooling.

Beyond the acquisition, the partnership formalizes Fortra’s role as a core technology partner within LevelBlue’s ecosystem. Fortra’s portfolio across data security, email security, brand protection, and offensive security will be made available through LevelBlue’s managed services model. This structure gives customers access to a wider set of controls without fragmenting operations across multiple providers, while allowing Fortra to focus on product development and channel-led growth.

The partnership also aligns with Fortra’s broader push toward a channel-first strategy following the launch of its partner program earlier this year. By shifting managed service delivery to LevelBlue and strengthening its integration with a large global MSSP, Fortra reinforces its role as a platform provider for service-led security delivery.
