Salesforce AIforce and Headless Toolkit unlock new opportunities for services partners

Salesforce's new AIforce surface area and Headless Toolkit are creating significant new opportunities for its services partners. These advancements allow for the building of experiences using both Salesforce-owned applications and third-party tools, reminiscent of the opportunities presented by the Force.com platform launch in 2008, as detailed in CRN.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff highlighted an "interface revolution" at Dreamforce, comparing the current shift to AI interfaces with previous transitions to GUIs and web interfaces. The company's investments in AI, including its partnership with Anthropic, are expected to benefit its services partners. Tyler Carlson, Salesforce's senior vice president, emphasized that AI tools extend the value of traditional Salesforce products, reinforcing its position as business infrastructure for AI.

The Headless Toolkit and advancements like Claudeforce enable partners to build verticalized and industry-specific use cases. The AgentExchange marketplace is also evolving, allowing partners to list services and intellectual property, and in October, will enable the sale of non-Salesforce products. This strategic move aims to streamline procurement and leverage existing customer relationships, particularly benefiting smaller consultancies.
