Thales highlights quantum security and AI defense: GISEC Global 2026

The increasing adoption of AI, expanding data volumes, and the emerging threat of quantum computing are compelling enterprises to re-evaluate their cybersecurity strategies, as outlined in TahawulTech.com. This evolving landscape, coupled with a growing demand for platform consolidation, is driving organizations to integrate data security, application security, and identity and access management capabilities.

At GISEC Global 2026, Thales showcased its latest advancements in data protection and quantum-safe security. Sébastien Pavie, Vice President of Sales – SEMEA at Thales, highlighted the dual role of AI in cybersecurity, noting its potential to both enhance defenses and empower more sophisticated attacks. He emphasized the critical need for data-centric security, ensuring sensitive information is protected throughout its lifecycle, especially as AI adoption generates and processes larger data volumes.

Thales presented integrated platforms that combine data discovery, visibility, protection, and control, alongside a next-generation, quantum-ready hardware security module. Pavie advised CISOs to reassess security priorities, considering AI-related risks and the transition to post-quantum cryptography, urging them to evaluate solutions that bolster data protection and prepare for future threats.
