Netsurion has integrated Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and SIEM into a single managed security service. The offering, known as EventTracker EDR, is the latest launch under the unified Netsurion company brand.
Key features of EventTracker EDR include:
- File integrity monitoring (FIM).
- Legacy system and unpatched device protection.
- Management policies for endpoint protection and containment.
- Threat remediation reports.
EventTracker EDR leverages network machine learning and process monitoring functions to ensure only authorized programs, applications and processes can run. It also blocks against both known malware and unknown or zero-day attacks and is backed by Netsurion's ISO 27001-certified security operations center (SOC).
EventTracker EDR is expected to be generally available in March 2019.
Beyond SD-WANs: Netsurion has been busy on the R&D front. The company earlier this month launched BranchSDO to help MSPs simplify SMB & branch office security, networking and management. It’s SD-WAN & a whole lot more built into a single edge appliance.
The overall Netsurion sales strategy leans heavily on channel partners and MSPs.
Demand for EDR on the Rise
In addition to Netsurion, the following cybersecurity companies recently have incorporated EDR capabilities into their portfolios:
- AlienVault: Integrated EDR capabilities into its USM Anywhere threat detection and response offering.
- Digital Guardian: Introduced the MSP for EDR offering to protect its customers against fileless malware, zero-day attacks and other cyberattacks.
- Symantec: Added endpoint security capabilities to its Integrated Cyber Defense threat protection, information security and compliance platform.
Furthermore, global EDR market revenues are projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.8 percent between 2018 and 2025, industry analyst ReportBuyer stated. These revenues also could total nearly $5.9 billion by 2025.
