Cylance, a company that provides artificial intelligence-based advanced threat prevention solutions, has integrated the Jask autonomous security operations center (ASOC) offering into its endpoint security platform. Now, the companies' joint customers can access Cylance threat event, alert, classification and audit logs via Jask, according to the companies.

The integration provides organizations with a single source for visibility across all data and assets, Cylance indicated. It helps organizations simultaneously identify unknown threats, Cylance said, and applies AI and machine learning to automate threat analysis.

Furthermore, the integration drives "the evolution of future SOC requirements," Jask CEO Greg Martin stated. It empowers SOC teams with cybersecurity insights, Martin noted, and helps these teams stay ahead of cybercriminals.

A Closer Look at Jask's ASOC Platform

Jask's ASOC platform modernizes security operations, according to the company. It uses AI and machine learning to help SOC teams streamline everyday tasks, Jask indicated, and delivers advanced insights across networks, end users and devices.

The Jask platform's key features include:

  • Analytic Explorer: Allows SOC teams to dig into data using advanced SQL, PySpark and Spark functions.
  • Investigations: Provides access to raw data and allows SOC team members to create investigation charts.
  • Signal Details: Displays relevant security information without the need for full packet capture.
  • Smart Alerts: Organizes security alerts for fast analysis.
  • Timeline: Finds an asset with abnormal or malicious behavior and enables SOC team members to drill down and see the entire timeline of a cyberattack.

The Jask platform uses advanced algorithms to deliver end-to-end network monitoring. By doing so, the platform enables SOC teams to make informed decisions faster and with more precision than ever before, Jask noted.

Cylance Adds SVP of North America Sales

In addition to the Jask integration, Cylance in recent days named Chris Scanlan as its SVP of North America sales. Scanlan is expected to help Cylance drive revenue growth, build business partnerships and grow the company's sales team, according to a prepared statement.

Chris Scanlan

Scanlan most recently served as SVP of worldwide sales at Optiv, which provides managed security services, identity and access management (IAM) solutions and other cybersecurity offerings. He also has held various executive roles in his career and possesses sales operations leadership and field sales team development experience.

Meanwhile, Scanlan is one of many recent additions to Cylance's executive team.

Cylance last month named Rahul Kashyap as its global chief technology officer. Kashyap, who previously served as EVP of products at virtualization technology startup Bromium, is expected to manage Cylance's overall business and technical strategy.

In August, Cylance appointed former AlienVault executive Brian Robins as its chief financial officer. Robins will guide Cylance through its next stage of growth, the company said in a prepared statement.

Cylance ranked 10 on Deloitte's "Technology Fast 500" list of 2017's fastest-growing public and private technology companies in North America. It has recorded 283 percent revenue growth over the past year, along with 13,057 percent revenue growth over the past three years.
