ForeScout, CrowdStrike Partner to Deliver Network, Endpoint Security

ForeScout network security and CrowdStrike endpoint protection today announced a partnership to deliver threat detection and visibility for joint customers.

Together, ForeScout and CrowdStrike will streamline and improve security operations for joint customers by using ForeScout's device visibility and control capabilities in conjunction with CrowdStrike's artificial intelligence-based threat analytics platform, the companies stated.

ForeScout and CrowdStrike joint customers now can monitor cyber threats across endpoint and network tiers, share threat analytics and extend protection and policy control to unmanaged bring-your-own-device (BYOD), guest and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, according to a prepared statement.

In addition, ForeScout and CrowdStrike intend to build an integrated solution to further support joint customers.

With the partnership, ForeScout and CrowdStrike will provide joint customers with increased visibility and advanced threat analytics for better protection against malicious activity, ForeScout CEO Michael DeCesare said in a prepared statement.

The companies together provide a combination of extended device discovery and security intelligence, DeCesare stated, to help joint customers identify and address cyber threats and strengthen their cybersecurity strategies.

Also, the ForeScout-CrowdStrike partnership ensures joint customers can obtain accurate and meaningful threat insights, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz indicated.

The partnership empowers joint customers with real-time endpoint detection and response, next-generation threat prevention and proactive threat hunting, Kurtz noted, to help protect customer networks against current and future cyber threats.

ForeScout and CrowdStrike: Here's What You Need to Know

ForeScout offers "agentless" visibility and control of traditional and IoT devices, the company stated. The company's products and solutions help MSPs and other organizations "accelerate incident response, break down silos, automate workflows and optimize existing investments," the business indicated.

This month, ForeScout filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which means the company could offer shares of its common stock in the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, the CrowdStrike agreement represents one of several recent partnerships for ForeScout.

ForeScout last month launched a joint solution in conjunction with CyberArk, a company that provides privileged account security solutions. It also partnered with IT service management software provider ServiceNow in July to offer a solution designed to help joint customers improve asset compliance and security response.

CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 and specializes in cloud-based endpoint protection. The company provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) endpoint security platform that combines next-generation endpoint protection, threat intelligence and incident response.

MSPs and security operations center (SOC) providers can leverage CrowdStrike's flagship Falcon Breach Prevention Platform to help their global customers stop breaches, according to the company.

CrowdStrike experienced "triple-digit growth" in deals valued at $1 million or more last year. Furthermore, the company closed a $100 million Series D funding round in May and has a valuation of more than $1 billion.
