Netsurion, Lucas Systems Offer Retailers Managed Security, PCI Compliance Solutions

Netsurion, an MSSP that provides compliance support and SIEM (security information and event management) solutions, has partnered with Lucas Systems to help retailers safeguard their networks and point of sale (POS) systems against cyberattacks.

Now, Lucas Systems customers can leverage the Netsurion managed network security solution for protection against ransomware and other advanced persistent threats (APT), the companies said. Netsurion also provides Lucas Systems customers with tools that they can use to secure their payment card information and maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance.

The Netsurion managed network security solution empowers retailers to protect their payment card information and other critical data against cyberattacks. It delivers monitored firewall, secure Wi-Fi and traffic monitoring capabilities, Netsurion indicated, and is backed by dedicated PCI compliance support.

Lucas Systems, founded in 1992, specializes in providing full-service information systems technology primarily to quick-service, fast-casual restaurants and retail establishments, the company says. Solutions include point-of-sale, back-office and enterprise management software.

Netsurion's Partner Program: Here's What You Need to Know

With the Netsurion partner program, channel partners can provide merchants with payment processing and merchant technology solutions protected by its managed network security, PCI compliance management and secure Wi-Fi services, according to the company.

The Netsurion partner program empowers channel partners with sales and marketing resources, financial incentives, training and technical support, the company pointed out.

Three Netsurion partner program tiers are available:

  • Certified: Provides access to a partner portal, training and marketing materials.
  • Gold: Give partners access to co-marketing materials, live training, certification, joint marketing plans and initiative-based market development funds (MDF) and other rewards.
  • Platinum: Offers access to product discounts, incremental initiative-based MDF and dedicated Netsurion resources.

Netsurion's Retail Customer Initiatives

Netsurion has been working hard to push deeper into the retail sector. The company in August integrated advanced threat protection and 4G cellular-failover offerings into its partner program for point-of-sale (POS) resellers and retail technology providers. These program upgrades enable Netsurion partners to deliver the company's SIEM-at-the-Edge managed threat detection and response solution, the company said, and automatic cellular failover to detect network disruptions and switch traffic to 4G cellular.

Netsurion was founded in 1989 and provides managed network security, PCI compliance and security adoption solutions. The company merged with log monitoring and SIEM solutions provider EventTracker last year, and today, supports businesses in the healthcare, hospitality, insurance, legal and retail sectors.
