The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has incorporated Fidelis Cybersecurity, an eXtended detection and response (XDR) platform provider, into its Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) program. It added Fidelis cybersecurity technologies to the ESI program following an award government IT solutions provider Carahsoft.

DoD Adds Fidelis Elevate XDR, Cloud Security

Government agencies use the DoD ESI and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule to access products and services from Fidelis and other companies.  These platforms are available for purchase under a Blanket Purchase Agreement that provides DoD customers with discounts based on GSA Schedule Contract pricing.

Now, DoD ESI’s portfolio includes the Fidelis Elevate XDR platform and Fidelis CloudPassage Halo cloud security and compliance platform, according to a prepared statement. Fidelis Elevate offers network security, endpoint protection and intelligent deception capabilities. Meanwhile, Fidelis CloudPassage Halo provides cloud, server and container protection technologies.

In addition, Fidelis will “make it easier and faster for the [DoD] and U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) to expedite threat detection, hunting and response in hybrid environments,” the company said. Fidelis will help government agencies detect, respond to and neutralize threats, perform continuous risk assessments and optimize their security and compliance operations.

Fidelis Cybersecurity Secures Funding, Unveils XDR Integrations

The addition of Fidelis to DoD’s ESI program comes after the company in September 2022 raised funding from Runway Growth Capital and Skyview Capital. The funding amount was not disclosed. Fidelis is using the funding to build out its operational infrastructure, explore opportunities to accelerate its growth and develop cyber solutions, the company stated.

Previously, Fidelis announced XDR integrations with Devo and Zscaler in April 2022. The integrations allow security teams to use Devo’s cloud-native logging and security analytics and Zscaler Internet Access solution to hunt for and correlate threats, Fidelis indicated.

Fidelis delivers threat detection, deception, response, cloud security and compliance capabilities. It also offers a partner program that allows MSSPs and other technology providers to integrate these capabilities into their services and solutions.
