ThreatLocker has integrated its endpoint security services into the ConnectWise business automation platform. MSPs gain MSPs application whitelisting, ringfencing and other ThreatLocker endpoint security capabilities, the companies said.

Application whitelisting involves the use of pre-approved and specified programs across an organization's networks, ThreatLocker indicated. It ensures any programs not whitelisted are blocked by default to guard against malware and other cyber threats.

Ringfencing controls what system applications can and cannot do, ThreatLocker stated. It also prevents application attempts to perform unauthorized functions such as accessing or encrypting an organization's data.

The global endpoint security market revenues are projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7 percent between 2017 and 2024 and total $7.5 billion by 2024, industry analyst Market Study Report noted. Meanwhile, the increasing risk of malware attacks among global organizations is among the key factors expected to drive this market's growth.

ConnectWise Cybersecurity Strategy

ConnectWise has announced a range of cybersecurity moves to help MSPs lock down their own networks while also safeguarding customer data and systems. The timeline of developments include:

Most of ConnectWise's key MSP software rivals are also lining up partnerships and acquisitions in the cybersecurity market.
