Exclusive Networks Introduces Managed Security Services Platform

Exclusive Networks, a value-added distributor (VAD) that specializes in cybersecurity and cloud solutions, has unveiled the Managed Security Services Distributor (MSSD) platform.

MSSD enables channel partners to add security-as-a-service (SECaaS) offerings to their portfolios, according to Exclusive.

MSSD consists of two core services: Monitoring & Alerting and Monitoring & Alerting + Prevention & Countermeasures.

  1. Monitoring & Alerting provides security operations center-based monitoring and alerting, Exclusive stated. It offers artificial intelligence-based threat hunting, remote breach support and other security capabilities.
  2. Monitoring & Alerting + Prevention & Countermeasures combines SOC-based monitoring and alerting with managed capabilities for network environments, Exclusive noted. In addition to Monitoring & Alerting security features, this service offers availability monitoring and backup, device and policy configuration change management and other prevention and countermeasures capabilities.

Initial MSSD services are now available, and additional services are expected to be released next year.

What Does MSSD Mean for Exclusive?

MSSD could help Exclusive capitalize on a global SECaaS market that is projected to grow.

Global SECaaS market revenues are expected to increase at a rate of more than 23 percent between 2018 and 2025, industry analyst Kenneth Research indicated. Furthermore, these revenues could total $19.7 billion by 2025.

In addition to Exclusive, other cybersecurity companies have embraced SECaaS.

For example, Fortinet added SECaaS offerings to its FortiCloud portfolio earlier this year. Network security provider Clavister also introduced a managed SECaaS for MSSPs and value-added resellers (VARs) last year.
