IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has brought to market its Cybersecurity Incident Response and Forensics (CSIRF) service.

CSIRF is designed to help organizations "prepare for and respond to threats by applying the latest threat intelligence and experience from Kyndryl's deep domain security experts," the company said a prepared statement.

CSIRF's capabilities include:

  • Compliance monitoring and management
  • Incident response
  • Incident triage
  • Threat intelligence

How Kyndryl's Cybersecurity Incident Response and Forensics Service Works

Organizations can use CSIRF to investigate and respond to security incidents and analyze, identify, compare and understand the evidence and causes of these incidents, Kyndryl said. In addition, if a security incident occurs, Kyndryl's CSIRF experts help organizations address the issue.

Organizations can use CSIRF in conjunction with Kyndryl's Recovery Retainer Service, the company noted. In doing so, they can work with cyber recovery experts to reduce the length, severity and impact of a security incident and speed up their incident recovery.

Commenting on CSIRF and what it means for the cybersecurity fiel, Kris Lovejoy, Kyndryl's security and resiliency global practice leader, said:

"CSIRF discovers and responds to detected security incidents and provides advanced threat detection response and forensics. Kyndryl's CSIRF is intended to shift the cybersecurity field, from simply security to one of cyber resilience."

Kyndryl to Deliver Enterprise Network Transformation Services

The Kyndryl CSIRF announcement comes after the company in May 2023 partnered with cloud cybersecurity company Cloudflare to help enterprises manage their IT infrastructure and grow their networks, the companies noted.

Enterprises can use Cloudflare's platform and Kyndryl's managed WAN-as-a-service to convert their resources to cloud-native solutions, the companies stated. They also can leverage a managed internet security, performance and reliability solution to scale their network capacity based on their business needs.

Kyndryl is an IBM spin-off that designs, builds, manages and updates information systems for global organizations. The company serves thousands of enterprise customers across more than 60 countries. It also has strategic alliances in place with more than 20 cybersecurity and technology companies.
