Vectra AI, a cloud threat detection and response company, has announced global managed detection and response (MDR) services for security operations center (SOC) teams.

SOC teams can use Vectra's MDR services to detect, investigate and respond to cyber threats, according to the company. The services leverage the Vectra Threat Detection and Response (TDR) platform to hunt and mitigate attacks in progress.

In addition, the MDR services utilize Vectra's Attack Signal Intelligence (ASI) platform to automate threat detection, triage and prioritization, the company stated. ASI provides SOC teams with visibility and context into how an attack progresses through the cyber kill chain.

Vectra Partners with Endance, Acquires SaaS Posture Management Company

The MDR services announcement comes after Vectra in August 2022 partnered with Endance, which offers high-speed packet capture solutions for cybersecurity, network and application performance. With the partnership, Endance and Vectra provide SOC teams with the ability to use forensic evidence to assess attacks at each stage of the cyber kill chain, the companies said.

Previously, Vectra in July 2022 purchased Siriux Security Technologies, an identity and SaaS posture management solutions provider. Siriux allowed Vectra to become "the only vendor that enables customers to securely configure and detect active threats in cloud identity and SaaS applications," the companies said.

A Closer Look at Vectra

Vectra offers a TDR platform and services that can be used across public clouds, SaaS applications, identity systems and network infrastructure. It empowers SOC teams to use AI to retrieve threat signals and use them to identify and mitigate cyberattacks.

Vectra provides a partner program for MSSPs and MSPs. The program enables channel partners to use Vectra's technologies to deliver network detection and response (NDR) services.
