Orca Security Integrates with Microsoft Azure OpenAI GPT-4
The Orca Security cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) has become the first to support GPT-4 through the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, the company announced in a prepared statement.
GPT-4 is a multimodal model created by OpenAI. It accepts image and text inputs and emits text outputs that exhibit “human-level performance on various professional and academic benchmarks,” OpenAI noted.
The Azure OpenAI Service applies large language models and generative AI to various use cases, Microsoft indicated. It provides REST API access to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that utilizes natural language processing to interact with users in conversational dialogue.
What Orca Security’s GPT-4 Integration Means for MSSPs
Lior Drihem, Orca’s director of innovation, explained to MSSP Alert what the GPT-4 integration means for MSSPs:
“Orca Security’s Azure OpenAI integration helps MSSPs offer optimized cloud incident response and cloud threat prevention across many different platforms and in a fraction of the usual time. When the Orca Cloud Security Platform detects a risk, practitioners can generate very specific remediation instructions with just one click… These instructions can then simply be copied and pasted into the platform to quickly remediate the issue.”
Also, Orca anonymizes all GPT AI requests and masks any sensitive information before it is submitted, Drihem noted. Then, after Orca receives the response, it reinserts all of the original information to speed up the remediation process.
Furthermore, the integration provides users with access to Microsoft’s security and enterprise support, Orca stated. This includes compliance with HIPAA, SOC2 and other data security regulations and an uptime SLA of 99.9%.
Orca Security Updates ChatGPT Integration
Along with launching its GPT-4 integration, Orca has made several other enhancements to its ChatGPT integration, including:
- Prompt improvements to ensure further optimization of remediation responses
- Offering a new Open Policy Agent (OPA) remediation method
- Providing users with the ability to include remediation steps in Jira tickets when assigning cloud security issues
Orca previously implemented ChatGPT capabilities into its Cloud Security Platform in January 2023. These capabilities enhance the remediation steps provided to users to address cloud security risks, the company said. They also allow users to ask follow-up questions so they can fine-tune the remediation steps based on their requirements.
Skyhawk Security Embraces ChatGPT for Cybersecurity
In addition to Orca, Skyhawk Security has started using ChatGPT to help organizations improve their security posture.
Skyhawk in March 2023 added ChatGPT features to its cloud threat detection and response platform. These features are available free of charge and allow Skyhawk’s customers to “find and understand security incidents that might otherwise fly under the radar,” the company indicated.
Research indicates there were more than one billion ChatGPT users globally as of March 2023. As cybersecurity companies explore ways to bolster their current offerings and develop and launch new ones, they may be more prone than ever before to incorporate ChatGPT capabilities into their portfolios.
