inSOC Security Operations Center for MSPs, MSSPs Surfaces at DattoCon
Cybersecurity solutions company inSOC has launched One Stop SOC, a turnkey security operations center (SOC) solution for MSPs and MSSPs. The company will showcase One Stop SOC at the DattoCon19 conference starting June 17 in San Diego, California, ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert have confirmed.
One Stop SOC combines a preconfigured, artificial intelligence-based detection platform and vulnerability scanning, inSOC said. It provides 24/7/365 SOC monitoring services and helps MSPs and MSSPs quickly respond to cyberattacks.
In addition, inSOC provides the following One Stop SOC packages for MSPs and MSSPs:
- Essential: Includes threat, event and incident alerting and asset inventory monitoring.
- Power: Includes all Essential capabilities, along with SOC analysis, assistance and escalations and vulnerability scanning and reporting.
- Premium: Includes all Power capabilities, along with compliance reports for HIPAA, PCI-DSS and other industry regulations.
One Stop SOC enables MSPs and MSSPs to expand their security services, protect customers’ cloud and on-premise networks and help customers comply with regulatory requirements, inSOC stated. It also ensures MSPs and MSSPs can capitalize on the rising demand for SOC services.
SOC Staffing a Major Problem for Many Organizations
Although SOCs keep pace with evolving cyber threats, SOC staffing remains a major problem for many global organizations.
Approximately 35 percent of IT professionals said they want more funding for SOC staffing and 33 percent stated their SOC is understaffed, according to the “2019 State of the SOC Report” from security information and event management (SIEM) solutions provider Exabeam. Furthermore, hard skills like threat hunting and data loss prevention also are becoming increasingly important in SOCs.
SOC Options for MSPs, MSSPs:
Competition in the Security Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS) market for MSPs and MSSPs continues to intensify, and the market appears highly fragmented. The following companies are working in and around the market to assist partners with outsourced SOCs or SOCaaS, or with Master MSSP services.
- AlienVault from AT&T Cybersecurity
- Arctic Wolf Networks
- Binary Defense
- Bolton Labs
- Critical Start
- Digital Hands
- Radar Services

To be clear, some of the companies listed above are not 100 percent head-to-head competitors. But in many cases, they have overlapping products or services that allow MSPs and MSSPs to automate, white label and/or outsource SOC services to a third party.
