Armor Hires Datto, Cofense Veteran Christine Gassman for MSP Security Partner Push

Armor, a cloud security company, has hired Datto and Cofense veteran Christine Gassman as its director of global channel engagement. Gassman will explore ways to expand Armor's channel footprint and strengthen its go-to-market focus on partners, the company says.

Gassman jumped right into the new position -- attending this week's Built IT Live 2021, an MSP-focused conference hosted by IT By Design in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Christine Gassman,

Gassman has spent more than 15 years working with MSPs. She most recently served as director of channel programs at Cofense, which specializes in phishing detection and response. Earlier, she was director of North American channel sales at email security company Cyberfish (which was acquired by Cofense in April 2021).

Gassman also held multiple leadership roles at Datto, which bet its entire data protection business on MSP partners and launched a successful IPO in 2020.

Gassman is the second Datto veteran to join Armor in recent months. Indeed, Datto and ThreatConnect veteran Bryan Hauptman joined Armor as chief revenue officer in July 2021.

Looking ahead, Gassman will work with Armor's MSP partners to help them scale their cybersecurity practices and protect their customers against cyberattacks, she said.

How Does Armor Work with MSPs?

MSPs can leverage the Armor Anywhere cloud security and compliance platform, which offers the following security capabilities:

  • Cloud security posture management
  • Cloud workload protection
  • Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
  • Log and data management

MSPs can join Armor's partner program to integrate Armor Anywhere into their offerings. This program ensures that MSPs can use Armor Anywhere to deliver cybersecurity services across their customers' endpoints, networks, servers and cloud environments.
