SentinelOne Hires Cylance Veteran Tim Mackie: VP WW Channels

SentinelOne has hired Cylance veteran Tim Mackie as VP of worldwide channels. Mackie joins the autonomous endpoint protection company just as BlackBerry completes its Cylance acquisition, and just in time for RSA Conference 2019 in San Francisco.

Mackie previously led Cylance’s international channels and worldwide distribution.(Brian Stoner is now acting VP of worldwide channels at Cylance). Mackie earlier held similar partner-centric positions at Riverbed and SD-WAN company Talari. Over at Cylance, Brian Stoner is now acting VP of worldwide channels.

SentinelOne blends an endpoint protection platform (EPP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) technology into a single software agent.  The company appeared to have channel momentum ahead of Mackie's arrival. For instance, Worldwide Channel Partner Program revenue grew more than 350 percent from July 2017 through June 2018. In addition, SentinelOne doubled the number of international channel partners and tripled the number of North American partners during the time frame.
