Check Point Software Technologies now offers a partner program that allows MSSPs to use its Horizon security operations suite to boost their earnings and protect their customers against cyberattacks, according to a prepared statement.

The program lets MSSPs leverage Horizon to deliver security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) without an upfront investment, Check Point noted. This allows MSSPs to supplement their current services with SOCaaS or deliver new services built on Horizon.

In addition, the program allows MSSPs to use and provide co-branded versions of Check Point's Incident Response (IR) services, the company stated. This enables MSSPs to utilize Check Point's IR services to help their customers prepare for and respond to security incidents.

Check Point MSSP Program Features

The MSSP program "simplifies operations with faster customer onboarding, streamlined quoting, technical onboarding, pipeline development and go to market (GTM) alignment," Check Point indicated.

Key features of the program include:

  • Hands-on support, including engineering bootcamps, enablement workshops, proof of concepts (POCs) and operational improvements
  • Access to security experts, including the Check Point Research (CPR) and IR teams
  • Managed detection and response (MDR), extended detection and response (XDR) and events management

Also, Check Point plans to offer "customized billing options" to MSSP partners across its security portfolio, the company said.

Check Point Boosts Its Revenues in 2Q21

The MSSP program announcement comes after Check Point recorded revenue growth of 9% year over year in the second quarter of 2021. This revenue growth was "driven by strength in products and subscriptions revenues," Check Point CEO Gil Shwed said.

In 2022, Check Point launched its Horizon suite in September and acquired Israeli security startup Spectral in February. Check Point continues to look for ways to bolster its security offerings and looks poised to expand its partnerships with MSSPs and other cybersecurity companies.
