MDR Provider eSentire Announces EMEA Expansion Plans

Share

eSentire, a Top 250 MSSP and Top 40 MDR (managed detection and response) service provider, has hired Piers Morgan as its VP and GM for EMEA, according to a prepared statement.

Morgan is responsible for eSentire's EMEA and international sales and channel ecosystem, go-to-market strategy and technical partnerships and alliances. He previously held leadership roles at Pulse Secure, Eseye and Digital Defense.

Along with the Morgan hire, eSentire intends to add 20 team members across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Benelux & Nordics, Southern Europe and DACH regions, the company said. eSentire intends to complete these hires over the next six months.

Meanwhile, eSentire's EMEA hires will be security analysts, threat intelligence researchers, sales executives and channel managers, the company indicated. In total, eSentire expects to have 60 EMEA team members following its new hires.

The moves sound similar to recent EMEA expansion plans from Arctic Wolf, a SOC as a Service (SOCaaS) and MDR provider to MSPs.

eSentire Acquires CyFIR, Bolsters Executive Team

The eSentire news comes after the company in June 2021 purchased CyFIR, a digital forensics and investigation tools provider. eSentire also has launched a Cyber Investigations Portfolio and will rebrand CyFIR's products and services under its portfolio.

Furthermore, eSentire in April 2021 hired Digital Defense veteran Bob Layton as its chief channel officer and Herjavec Group veteran Erin McLean as its CMO. Layton and McLean are helping eSentire drive its global channel partner and marketing initiatives and transition from MDR to XDR (eXtended Detection & Response) security services.

eSentire provides security services to help organizations hunt, investigate and stop cyber threats, the company indicated. More than 1,000 organizations across 70 countries use these services to secure their data and applications.
